Sunday night my partner and I got into some trouble with our boat trailer, we had the wheel snap off the wheel bearing and all the studs were stuck in the hub. 6pm on Sunday evening we knew we were in trouble. I might add my partner and I had just been stuck on the water for 5 hours with boat engine troubles - so this really was the cherry on top.

After spending an hour trying to find a tow truck willing to come help us in Auckland, we finally got some help from SDT - Vicky, she was speaking with my partner, and she was effectively communicating and because of this communication we were able to relax and breathe a bit.

I am so upset I didn't grab the drivers name but let me tell you, they definitely have a very skilled, careful and knowledgeable driver - he was able to load the boat and trailer on and tow it from Clevedon all the way to Port Waikato with no additional damage occurring. The most amazing thing out of all of it was that this driver was able to load the boat and trailer on with only one wheel and he did not drag or damage the trailer or boat. Before we hopped on the motorway he stopped to check everything was okay and he even gave us his number so if we saw anything when following him we would pull over straight away - this is what you call amazing care and service.

Honestly the driver and the whole company needs a payrise! I didn't get to thank him enough before he left but I did call the office team as so as we arrived at our destination and praised my heart out thanking them for all their efforts.

Also not to mention we called every other tow truck company you could think of in AKL and these guys were the only ones who came to help even though they were understaffed too.
